Sony Brings New Range of Professional Laser and Lamp Projectors

Sony today launched its combination of three new laser and lamp projectors. Joining the world’s first 3LCD laser projector, Sony’s new projectors include three 3LCD laser models (VPL-FHZ65, VPL-FHZ60 and VPL-FHZ57) to expand Sony’s growing line of Z-Phosphor laser light source projectors.

The new WUXGA (1920 x 1200) laser models deliver brightness of 6,000 lumens (VPL-FHZ65), 5,000 lumens (VPL-FHZ60) and 4,100 lumens (VPL-FHZ57). For applications better-suited to lamp-based projection, Sony’s new VPL-FH65 (6,000 lumens) and VPL-FH60 (5,000 lumens) offer cost-effective options that still deliver high quality performance. Each uses BrightEra panel technology to reproduce natural and vivid color.

Smartly designed, the new laser models’ “quick turn on/off” requires only approximately 7 seconds for the brightness to ramp up after turning on. There is also a "quick reboot" mode available which allows users to reboot the projector in just 1 second, during user preset time of 10 minutes or 30 minutes after turning off the projector. This is a useful feature when there are presentation intervals between classes and meetings.

The life of laser light source is expected to be up to 20,000 hours*. Virtually zero maintenance requirements and a range of energy-saving features reduce total lifetime ownership costs compared to conventional lamp-based projectors. (*depends on usage environment)

All five new models have built-in HD Base interfaces, enabling easier connectivity and reducing total system costs by using a single cable which runs all the video, audio, control and IP signal up to 328 feet (100m).

The new models have a wide powered lens shift, which allows the projector to be installed in challenging environments, for example keeping audiences' site lines by installing the projector high above a screen, or horizontally avoiding HVAC ducts on the ceiling.

The new models can be combined with wide variety of optional lenses. Available optional lenses include 0.65:1 short throw and tele-zoom covering up to 4.84:1 throw range, and they deploy bayonet lens mounting system for easier and quicker lens changes.

Steelcase Think Chair review

If there is any one factor that you can change to make spending eight hours a day in an office easier, it’s your chair.

The Steelcase Think Chair pairs modern comfort with state-of-the-art ergonomic design to provide exceptional luxury and comfort. The chair is highly adjustable and tweak able enough for anyone to use.

The first impression of the chair is that its very comfortable and as soon as you sit on it you get the sense that it can be used for longer hours. Initially I started using the chair for working on a desk, then I started using it for gaming for long durations.

Usually playing games on a chair was not that comfortable, but due to the adaptability and flexibility of the chair long hours were a breeze on it.

I actually found myself shifting less while sitting for long hours on the chair and i think my posture has actually improved  slightly.

Features:

- Flexible backrest to ensures that the back is always supported.
- The back support mimics your movement and also has upper and lower back adjustments.
- Adjustable armrest which move around in all ways possible.
- Other standard adjustments that are pretty common with office chairs .All of them which are available.

The Steelcase Think chair fits almost people of different sizes perfectly and also different sitting postures. Good ergonomics and comfort doesn't tell anything about the chair unless it works for the person actually using it. Going by the usage of the chair for a month I feel it will work well for at least 90% of the people which is a pretty good number.

Though not affordable for everyone at the price tag of Rs. 35000, but a good investment for a long term chair. Think of it as an investment for your back and posture rather than the chair.

Android N: Everything you need to know

Google has surprised everyone with the spontaneous announcement of the Android N Developer Preview.

Image: Androidpit

According to sources, it is Available on some Nexus devices (Nexus 6P, Nexus 5X, Nexus 6, Pixel C, Nexus 9 and Nexus Player), the Android N Developer Preview is a test version of the new Android software, primarily intended for developers.

Google said that the final version of Android N will be sent to all manufacturers this summer.

A hamburger menu button (the icon with three lines) has now been embedded into the system settings. When a user is in the Bluetooth menu, for example, they can quickly jump to the other system options using this left side menu. Messages can now be answered from the notification itself. With this, the user will not need to leave an app to answer a message or even unlock their phone.

Like most major platform changes, developers will have to opt in for the split screen mode to allow their apps to run smoothly. This can be done by adding a new attribute called: resizeable Activity.

The notification panel has been completely redesigned, perfectly aligning with what we had seen in earlier leaks. Icons above the notification shade are now more prominent, and on the far right there is a drop down toggle to expand the panel.

It is now possible to respond to messages directly from within a notification, a feature that uses the same Remote Input API that Android Wear makes use of.

The energy saving mode Doze has been improved in Android N.  If you are a developer or just want to test the preview version of Android N, you can download images of the new OS directly from Google. Remember that this version is unstable and contains many bugs. The update can be downloaded via this link.

As usual, the Developer Preview version does not have a final name, it is still only "Android N". However, Hiroshi Lockheimer, the head of Android, is stoking the curiosity of Android lovers, making jokes about the possible "Android Nutella", but nothing is for certain at this point. Google’s I/O 2016 conference, where we originally expected this developer build to be released, promises more news on Android N.

LEGO Marvel’s Avengers Review

Lego games are typical; funny, cute, with LEGO pieces everywhere, a major arching story line of the movies, simple moves, lots of coop fun, awkward camera angles and clunky level design. This pretty much sums up every Lego game out there and Lego Marvel’s Avengers is no different.

You tag team with these characters first

Lots of Characters & Story
Here you dawn the cape (or rather the lack of) of your favourite superheroes (several infact), Iron Man, The Hulk, Thor, Captain America, Hawkeye, Black Widow, etc. Not only is the roster of characters big, the story itself is based off The Avengers, Avengers Age of Ultron, Captain America, Iron Man 3, Thor: Dark World and Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Now that’s a lot of content, infact lots and lots of it. It’s like a kid in a candy shop that can’t get enough.

Unfortunately you won’t find X-Men, Spiderman, nor the Fantastic Four (not that you’ll miss them too much) due to licensing issues. However, you’ll find crazy amount of lesser known characters which you may not have heard of except if you are a comic book fan e.g. playable Kamala Khan, Squirrel Girl, check out the entire roster here.

That’s one crazy roster

Grand Theft LEGO
This indeed surprised, LEGO Marvel’s Avengers has open world sections. You can have Hulk funnily steal a car and drive around the City till it explodes (It is Hulk after all). You have lots of interesting little things to do, plenty of distractions, Easter eggs, incredible amount of collectibles and hundreds of side missions.

Gameplay
Well if you played LEGO games in the past, you know how the gameplay goes. You are never instructed how to play, the control generally suck, very little information as to how to use them, and in the puzzle sections you’ll be stuck for ten minutes simply because things aren't clear as to what one needs to do.

The game does get boring as there are no new challenges so to speak and neither are finding new characters incredibly rewarding other than having another one in your roster. The game gets a lot more fun in co-op though the co-op is essentially limited to the local machine/console, making it a perfect family fun kind-of-game.

Seriously, you can’t expect much but yet convincingly serviceable at the same time

Graphics
Lols. It’s LEGO, its cutely believable in the LEGO world and oh yeah you can go all the way upto to 4k resolution even on piddly hardware - Makes one feel like a boss/superhero.

Verdict
The game is fun if you are into this kind of gameplay. It is perfect family fun game which doesn’t take itself too seriously and you’ll take really long to finish the game if you are a completionist. Oh and did we mention, there’s a season pass that adds 40 new characters, 5 new levels and more. Buy it when it is on sale and keep on playing.

Google releases range of new cricket Search experiences for ICC World T20 2016

With the much anticipated T20 World Cup, Google today has launched a range of new cricket Search features on the Google app. With India the #2 market for mobile search queries behind the U.S., these new Google app experiences will help cricket fans keep in touch with the games no matter where they are.

Score updates and match schedules in English and Hindi give fans a front row seat to all the games. If you search for things like “Cricket score” or “T20 score” at any point during the game,  scores will automatically update — no page refreshes needed. The new Search experience also includes news articles related to games, teams and players, as well as score boxes with in-depth game stats.

You can also ask the Google app about information related to the matches. For example, if you say “Ok Google, when is the next cricket match?” it will show you the schedule of upcoming games. Or if you ask “When will India play New Zealand?” it will tell you the date and time. The only thing the Google app can’t tell its users is the winner of the match as they will have to wait until the match ends.

Watch videos with less buffering in Opera Mini for Android

Android users will see less of the video-buffering wheel, as the unique “video boost” feature arrives today in the Opera Mini mobile browser, available for free in Google Play

Opera’s video boost technology reduces the size of video data, to lessen video loading time and combat buffering delays. Opera has been the first company to integrate video optimization into a web browser. The default web browsers on Android do not reduce the size of video data.

Start boosting: Under the "O" menu in Opera Mini 15, simply tap the savings summary to change to high-savings mode. Below, tick the box beside video boost to switch on smoother viewing. The video boost feature also shows a count where users can keep track of how many videos have been optimized.

The latest version of Opera Mini for Android brings more speed and efficiency features:

-In high-savings mode, Opera Mini will automatically turn off data compression when it detects Wi-Fi, to take full advantage of the high-quality internet connection.
-Opera Mini now lets you re-size images in the browser before you upload them to the web.
-With the new thumbscroller feature, scroll down to bring up a side scroll bar on the screen.
